Chalres St

The Charles River Esplanade is a long park on the banks of the river and features wonderful views of the Boston skyline, pleasant waterside strolls, and an excellent opportunity to watch sailboats. It houses the Hatch Memorial Shell, an outdoor domed amphitheatre for musical performances. The Hatch Shell is the site each summer of the Boston Pops Orchestra July 4th concert and is used throughout the warm season for concerts of all types.

As in so much of Boston, people-watching and shopping come together naturally on Charles Street. The area is home to a number of antique shops to explore.
