Public Garden and Swan Boats
Boston’s famous Swan Boats, featured in the children’s classic Make Way for Ducklings, and enjoyed for over a century by visitors from around the world, were first introduced by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead. They’re still a great way to see Boston’s Public Garden and do some people-watching too!
Charles Street
Charles Street is lined with antique shops, sidewalk cafes and restaurants, bookstores and specialty shops. It is a reminder of Boston in the 1850’s.
Freedon Trail
The Freedom Trail was created in the 1950s to showcase Boston’s prominent role in the American Revolution. It is part of the Boston National Historical Park and comprises the following 16 significant historical sites:
